In this essential role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of outgoing shipments, from accurate documentation and labeling to coordinating with carriers and ensuring timely dispatch. You'll be the gatekeeper of our outgoing goods, ensuring they reach their destination efficiently and without issue. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards of operational excellence. We foster a supportive team environment and provide comprehensive training, including on safety procedures and the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Process and document all outgoing shipments accurately.
- Generate shipping labels and packing slips using our WMS.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with multiple shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
- Ensure all packages are properly sealed and secured for transit.
- Verify shipping addresses and order details to prevent errors.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Proactively identify and resolve any shipping-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Capability of Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with shipping.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Commitment to upholding Safety standards in all tasks.
