This is a depot-based role in Lydney, perfect for those eager to kick-start their careers!

As an Apprentice Electrician, you will:

• Develop expertise in all types of electrical installations.
• Maintain our fleet of mobile/transportable steam and hot water boiler systems.
• Focus on inspection and testing in accordance with BS7671 .
• Learn about control wiring to enhance your fault-finding skills.

Here are some of your key responsibilities:

• Work on industrial steam/hot water boiler systems.
• Wiring and testing various types of motors and pumps.
• Participate in customer site visits, shadowing qualified Technicians.
• Engage in refurbishment projects on steam boilers.
• Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns.
• Work with electrical power supplies and control panels.
• Learn about digital control systems and basic BMS (Building Management Systems).

We seek enthusiastic individuals who are:

• Achieved Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English, Science, and Maths.
• Possessing a driving license (desirable by the second year of the apprenticeship).
• Eager to learn, ask questions, and get involved.
• Good written English skills.
• Interested in electrical engineering, heating systems, and control panels.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
