We are seeking a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy distribution center in Atlanta, Georgia. This multifaceted role is crucial for managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for processing inbound receipts, verifying contents, and preparing outgoing shipments with precision and speed. Your contribution is vital to our logistics network, ensuring that products reach their destinations efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities:
- Process incoming shipments, verifying quantities and checking for damages.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure the receiving and shipping areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Follow all logistics procedures to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Identify and report any operational issues or safety hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and scanning equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
