Our population requires daily prompts to take their meds, eat meals and complete daily living activities. We offer set, weekly schedules for a 36-hour work week. As a Certified Medication Aide at Cirrus House, Inc., you will play a vital role in administering medications and providing essential support to our residents. This position is crucial in ensuring the health and safety of individuals in our care, contributing directly to our mission of delivering exceptional service.
You are also responsible for preparing the meal that falls within your shift. This also includes all clean up after the meal. All basic cleaning of the common areas of the facility is also the responsibility of the staff on each shift.

*Responsibilities*
* Administer prescribed medications accurately and on time to clients at predetermined medication passing times.
* Maintain accurate records of medication administration.
* Assist in vocal prompts surrounding the daily living activities of clients, ensuring their comfort and safety is being met.
* Cook and serve meals for up to 23 residents during your assigned shift. As well as clean up the kitchen after the meal is over.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding resident confidentiality.
* Ensure your task list for this shift is completed each shift.
* Communicate with incoming staff about any particular events that occurred with residents during your shift.
* Foster a supportive environment for the residents in our care.
*Qualifications*
* Valid Nebraska certification as a 40-hour Medication Aide is REQUIRED for this position.
* Ability to read, use the computer, bend, stoop and lift to perform duties necessary to complete required job duties.
* Follow the policy and procedures of the facility and food code guidelines established by the State of Nebraska Assisted Living Facilities.
* Experience working with individuals with an assisted living facility.
* Valid driver's license. Clean criminal background check to include no violations on a DHHS background check. High School Diploma or GED is required.
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality.
* Compassionate attitude towards caregiving and supporting individuals in need.
* Ability to get along with coworkers and be part of a positive team atmosphere.
* Ability to maintain a professional relationship with coworkers and residents.
