Job Description
This career ladder position offers professional growth opportunities as you progress from GL-5 through GS-12 grade levels. You'll embark on an intensive six-month training program at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico.
Typical Assignments:
- • Detect smugglers of noncitizens - Maintain surveillance using infrared scopes during night operations.• Prevent illegal entry : Inspect documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.• Patrol International Boundaries : - Utilize vehicles for accomplishment of USBP Mission .• Engage in farm checks traffic checks city patrols transportation checks building inspections computer searches
