Customs Enforcement Specialist

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking entry-level career positions in federal law enforcement.

• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents to determine citizenship or violations requires a high level of vigilance, attention to detail, and strong critical thinking skills.
• Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance methods involves working closely with other agencies, analyzing intelligence, and making tactical decisions in real-time.
