Salary: Up to £38,000 prorated
Contract Term: Part Time
Hours: 24 hours, 3 days per week (9am - 5pm)

Your RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join us on a fixed contract. You will play a vital role in:
- Recruiting, training, and supervising Foster Parents
- Promoting the welfare of children placed with us across the West Midlands
- Delivering high standards of service in line with fostering legislation and practice
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Previous experience as a supervising social worker or working with foster parents
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications in children's services
- Excellent people skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Strong report writing skills
- The ability to plan and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, ensuring a manageable caseload for high-quality supervision
- Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents, monitoring their practice and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Calm and composed under pressure, especially in emotionally challenging situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases
- In possession of a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Clifford House Fostering)
