Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma location is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage the influx of goods into our warehouse. In this role, you will be the gatekeeper of incoming inventory, ensuring every item is accounted for, inspected, and accurately logged. Your meticulous approach will be key to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. This position involves interacting with delivery personnel, verifying documentation, and ensuring that all items are ready for distribution. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, bills of lading, and packing slips.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage incoming goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support inventory control and cycle counting activities.
- Follow established logistics procedures for receiving operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Familiarity with WMS or similar inventory tracking software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles and safety practices.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
