*What You’ll Do*
As our Staff Occupational Therapist, you will:
* Evaluate patients within 24 hours (or 1 business day) of physician referral
* Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with physicians
* Provide hands-on therapy services that restore independence and quality of life
* Supervise and support COTAs, aides, and students
* Partner with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
* Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and team meetings
* Educate families and caregivers for successful transitions home
* Recommend and assist with ordering adaptive equipment (walkers, grab bars, braces, etc.)
* Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with state and payer guidelines
You’ll play a key role in helping our residents regain the skills they need for daily living — from dressing and bathing to mobility and fine motor tasks.
*What You Bring*
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or Doctorate preferred)
* Current Occupational Therapist license in good standing
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to supervise COTAs and support restorative nursing programs
* Comfort with electronic documentation systems (PointClickCare/Casamba experience a plus)
* A positive, team-oriented attitude
*Physical Requirements*
This is an active, hands-on role that includes frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, pushing, and assisting residents with mobility and therapeutic activities.
