We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our distribution center. You will operate various types of forklifts to transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items, ensuring smooth logistics flow and supporting various warehouse operations. Your precision and adherence to safety protocols are paramount in this position. We are committed to providing a secure working environment, and all team members are expected to utilize provided PPE and follow established Safety guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues.
- Stack and organize materials according to established procedures.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for operations.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient logistics and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
