We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate for our San Jose, California facility. This role is crucial for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency within our logistics operations. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for processing incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will also play a key role in maintaining a safe and organized loading dock and warehouse environment. Adherence to all Safety regulations is paramount, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots. This position requires the ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting of items up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar warehouse role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Prepare and pack outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound freight.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Familiarity with Safety regulations and commitment to a safe work environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
