KWS is one of the world's leading plant breeding companies. Nearly 5,000 employees in more than 70 countries generated net sales of around €1.68 billion in the fiscal year 2023/2024. A company with a tradition of family ownership, KWS has operated independently for almost 170 years. It focuses on plant breeding and the production and sale of seed for sugarbeet, corn, cereals, vegetables, oilseed rape and sunflower. KWS uses leading-edge plant breeding methods to continuously improve yield for farmers and plants' resistance to diseases, pests and abiotic stress. To that end, the company invested more than €300 million last fiscal year in research and development.
Program for business-oriented data scientists
Start at KWS - Growing with Data
Together we address the growing global food demand.
The Growing with Data Program is an entry door for ambitious data scientists who are interested in technology, business, and leadership and have a strong vision on how to pave our way towards a world with more sustainable agriculture.
Population growth, climate change and shrinking per-capita acreage.
Join in and solve these challenges with us. KWS spends a large portion of its revenue on research. Drones robotics, IoT and artificial intelligence are being used to increase our data accessibility. Together with new breeding technologies, as genomic selection and genome editing, we are constantly innovating the way we develop new plant varieties to the market, and how we partner with farmers to provide them with the best recommendations. The future of agriculture is already here. Come and be a part of it.
