Location: Remote (UK)
NCC Group is expanding its high‑assurance product evaluation capability. We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and excellent written communication who wants a defined 12–24‑month pathway into the specialist Lab Evaluator discipline.
This role is ideal for professionals from auditing, quality assurance, functional testing, information assurance, or structured technical assessment who want to develop into a rare and respected cybersecurity specialism.
Your day to day:
• Evaluate security products and solutions against defined criteria
• Review technical documentation, test results, and evidence packs
• Perform structured, repeatable testing within established methodologies
• Produce clear, defensible technical reports
• Learn how formal product evaluation schemes operate and progress towards leading evaluations.
What we’re looking for
• Strong writing and analytical ability
• Logical, evidence‑based decision‑making
• High attention to detail and confidence challenging inconsistencies
• Ability to read technical material and extract key risks and issues
• Independent working style, professional curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
You might currently be
• an ISO 27001 auditor or Lead Auditor,
• a QA or validation specialist (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, etc.),
• a functional or acceptance tester,
• a junior GRC or assurance consultant,
• a pen tester with an affinity for audit,
• or a technical professional wanting to move into structured evaluation.
Experience that will help your application stand out
• ISO 27001 auditing or risk/assurance work
• QA or validation experience in regulated environments
• Functional or acceptance testing in structured environments
• Understanding of networks or security fundamentals
• Exposure to CAS, CPA, CTAS, CC
• Programming or scripting knowledge.
