We are recruiting for a Receiving Clerk position at our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial for managing the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting items for damage, and ensuring all received products are properly documented and staged for put-away. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses good communication skills. You must be comfortable performing physical tasks, including regular Lifting, and adhere strictly to all Safety protocols. We emphasize the importance of consistently using the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders, purchase order lines, and advance ship notices (ASNs).
- Accurately document all received items and discrepancies in the inventory system.
- Tag and label received goods for proper identification and tracking.
- Inspect all incoming freight for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Stage received goods for put-away by warehouse associates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Wear and use appropriate PPE at all times during work hours.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, supporting overall logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or shipping software is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
