Position: Kitchen Chef

Salary: £27,801.80

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, All year round

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards and completing the Kitchen Hygiene Checklist monthly.
• Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in both the nursery and kitchen.
• Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals for children, minimizing food waste.
• Communicate dietary requirements clearly to the team and ensure they are catered for.
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating habits.
• Manage food orders within budgetary constraints to maintain consistent food quality.

• Strong knowledge of managing dietary requirements and food allergies (essential).
• Understanding of COSHH regulations (essential).
• Ability to work within a catering budget while maintaining food service standards (essential).
• Experience in cooking within domestic or commercial settings (essential).
• Fluency in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent) (essential).
• A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
