Nursery Chef

Rosewood Montessori Day Nursery & Pre-School is excited to announce an opening for a Nursery Chef with a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum . This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, all year round.

Located on a serene residential street, our nursery is conveniently situated between Ruislip Manor and Eastcote Train Stations, with easy on-street parking available. We pride ourselves on providing a warm, homely environment within a spacious house, enriched by a variety of extracurricular activities. From Superstar Sports promoting physical development to Tiny Mites Storytelling fostering creativity, we ensure a holistic experience for our children. Our expansive outdoor area features a dedicated forest school, where children can explore nature through activities like den building, mud cooking, and creating art from natural materials.

As our Nursery Chef, you will:

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards and completing the Kitchen Hygiene Checklist monthly.
• Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals daily, ensuring minimal food wastage.
• Communicate dietary requirements clearly to the team and ensure they are met.
• Collaborate with nursery staff and parents to promote a healthy and nutritious diet.
• Manage food orders within budgetary constraints to maintain high standards of service.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A solid understanding of managing dietary requirements, especially food allergies (essential).
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations (essential).
• Experience working within a catering budget (essential).
• Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
• Fluency in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent) (essential).
• A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
