We are seeking a Logistics Systems Architect who specializes in the world of freight and customs data. In this role, you will be the lead architect of our financial ecosystem.
You are responsible to ensure that our core logistics platforms: Scope, NetCHB, and Rose Rocket are in a constant, bidirectional dialogue with QuickBooks Desktop (QBD). We need a professional who understands that in logistics, a "synced" status is the difference between a shipment moving and a shipment sitting at the pier.
Core Objective
To architect and maintain a seamless data flow where financial data (invoices, bills, payments, and duties) moves bi-directionally. You will ensure that our operations teams see real-time accounting statuses within their native platforms, eliminating data silos and manual reconciliation.
Required Integration Expertise
1. Scope QuickBooks Desktop (Bidirectional)
Export: Automate the transfer of freight invoices and accruals from Scope to QBD.
Import: Sync payment statuses and check numbers from QBD back into Scope to close out shipments and update "Paid" statuses for operations.
2. NetCHB Scope & QuickBooks Desktop
Data Centralization: Map customs entry data from NetCHB into Scope to ensure shipment files are complete.
Duty Sync: Synchronize Customs Duties and MPF/HMF fees between NetCHB and QBD. You must ensure that duty payments made in QBD are reflected in NetCHB to prevent duplicate filings or payment errors.
3. Rose Rocket QuickBooks Desktop (Bidirectional)
Export: Push carrier bills and customer invoices from Rose Rocket to QBD using the Web Connector.
Settlement Tracking: Ensure that when a bill is paid in QBD, the "Settlement" status in Rose Rocket updates automatically, providing immediate visibility into carrier and driver payouts.
4. Gusto QuickBooks Desktop
Mapping: Perform precise mapping of the Chart of Accounts via IIF file imports or a managed API bridge.
Sync: Ensure payroll journal entries—including departmental splits (e.g., Dispatch vs. Warehouse)—are posted accurately to the General Ledger.
Technical Skills & "API Link" Requirements
QuickBooks Web Connector (QBWC): Advanced proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting the XML-based web service required for QBD to communicate with our web-based apps.
QuickBooks SDK/API: Knowledge of the Intuit Developer Portal and tools like Conductor or QBD Connect to maintain a stable API link to the local company file.
Complex Data Mapping: Ability to map logistics-specific "Service Types" (Detention, Lumper, Pier Pass, etc.) to the correct QBD Income and Expense items.
Server Environment Management: Familiarity with the hosting environment (Local Server or Hosted Cloud like RightNetworks) to ensure the sync services remain operational 24/7.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: API Integration, Solution Architecture, quickbooks desktop, QBWC, Quickbooks API, XML, System integration, Data mapping, Financial Systems Integration, Web Service
