About the Job
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Plant Operator to join our team in the Simcoe Region. In this hands-on role, you will operate heavy equipment and perform regular and preventative maintenance to keep our plant running safely and efficiently. We are hiring multiple operators for the region. Our best plant operators are easy to get along with, level-headed, and take pride in their work. They enjoy working outdoors, solving mechanical challenges, and being part of a positive, hardworking culture. If that sounds like you, you'll fit right in.
This position offers 40–50 hours per week, with afternoon shifts and Saturdays as needed.
Hourly pay of $30.65
What You'll Be Doing
Operate wash plants, crushers, portable plants, and conveyor systems
Run Cat or Komatsu 980 & 988 loaders
Operate Cat skid-steer equipment
Operate Cat or Volvo articulated haul trucks
Perform regular and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
Use a variety of hand and power tools
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support plant uptime
Float between equipment and plant systems daily
Here's What You Need
At least a year's experience as a plant operator
Strong mechanical aptitude
A valid G License in good standing
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Experience as a heavy equipment operator an asset
Welder/welding experience is an asset
Common core training is an asset
