As a Senior Structural Engineer on our Energy team, you'll join a powerhouse group of innovators, problem‑solvers, and world‑builders who thrive on tackling complex challenges across renewable energy, power generation, and energy‑modernization projects.  Here, your expertise won't just support projects—it will energize entire systems and play a key role in building resilient, future‑ready solutions that advance our clients' missions and strengthen the communities we serve.

This position can be located in any of our Canadian offices, with preference for our Alberta and British Columbia locations.


Your Impact

  • You'll establish design criteria, prepare engineering specifications, design calculations, material take offs (MTO) in accordance with project requirements. 
  • You'll support the planning, scheduling, cost control activities in the design as related to the Project Plan
  • You'll propose solutions for improving or optimizing processes, programs, and procedures. Assist in resolving complex problems requiring a comprehensive and detailed analysis and multi-disciplinary understanding. 
  • You'll Contribute to knowledge transfer by providing functional guidance, coaching and peer review to the team's less experienced professionals or to technicians. 
  • You'll participates in the planning and implementation of large and complex projects requiring innovative solutions.  
  • You'll Conducting on-site inspections as required. 
  • You'll detailed civil and structural designs, which include concrete foundations, piling, steel structures etc. 
  • You'll Prepare documentation for engineering hours budgets, schedules, work plans, tender documents, technical reports, project calculations etc. 
  • You'll assign, give instructions and providing directions to technical support staff. 
  • You'll establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and team members. 
  • You'll ensure the Quality Assurance, consistency, and integrity of the electronic handover of deliverables. 
  • You'll be responsible for reviewing and stamping drawings (as required); using experience in interpreting design codes and regulatory requirements.
  • You'll check work of and assist in the training of less experienced engineering personnel. 
  • You'll communicate with internal peers and project team and may be required to answer questions regarding deliverables. 

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • A university degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Registered P.ENG in province of residence.
  • At least 10 years+ experience in the engineering of civil structural designs in Energy and Power Generation industry. 
  • Working knowledge of software's like SAP 2000, ETABS, S-Frame, STAAD Pro, Dyna6 etc. 
  • Familiarity with relevant design codes for Piling, Concrete and Steel Structures, and also current Industrial standards. 


Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 – $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 – $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $114,900 – $154,800

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
