Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is seeking a Network Administrator / Engineer to join our IT team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure and reliable enterprise networks across multiple sites, including both corporate and manufacturing environments.
Working closely with internal IT teams and plant teams, you will lead network initiatives from design through implementation and ongoing support. You will ensure high availability, strong security practices, and effective IT/OT segmentation to maintain dependable plant-floor connectivity. This position is ideal for a hands-on technical professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and enjoys owning projects end-to-end.
What You'll Get To Do
Design, deploy, and support Aruba wired and wireless network infrastructure.
Configure, maintain, and support Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
Lead network projects from initial design through implementation and ongoing support.
Support multi-site LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and VLAN-segmented environments.
Design and maintain secure IT/OT network segmentation to protect plant-floor operations.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues in corporate and manufacturing environments, including high-interference wireless settings.
Advise IT Service Desk and other IT staff on network-related best practices and configurations.
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and standards.
Travel to company sites as required.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in network engineering or administration.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience demonstrating technical proficiency and leadership in network administration
Strong hands-on experience with Aruba switching and wireless platforms, along with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewall policies, and enterprise network security principles.
Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
Proven ability to lead technical projects independently from design through execution.
Experience supporting manufacturing or plant-floor network environments, including high-interference settings, is considered an asset.
Exposure to Aruba ClearPass, Ubiquiti, SD-WAN technologies, or IT/OT segmentation and Zero Trust concepts is considered an asset.
Aruba or Fortinet certifications are considered an asset.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Travel to the USA may be required.

The expected annual compensation for this position is $72,000-$97,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Valiant TMS does not require Canadian work experience and does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen or assess applicants.
