Corrosion Technologies is a leading provider of cathodic protection, AC mitigation, and asset integrity solutions across Western Canada. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Corrosion Engineer to support our growing portfolio of integrity and pipeline projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong, hands-on engineer who enjoys both field and office work and wants to play a key role in designing, reviewing, and supporting corrosion and CP systems.
What You'll Do:
Design, evaluate, and troubleshoot cathodic protection and AC/DC interference mitigation systems.
Perform engineering calculations (current requirements, resistance, attenuation, ground potential rise, etc.).
Review and approve corrosion, CP, and stray current designs and reports.
Prepare technical reports, charts, tables, and design packages.
Support field work including soil resistivity testing, structure-to-soil surveys, and right-of-way assessments.
Coordinate the engineering side of CP and AC mitigation installations.
Provide technical guidance to project teams and other divisions.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and safety requirements (AMPP/NACE, CSA, API, PHMSA, DOT).
What You Bring:
Strong background in corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and interference mitigation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with field data, reports, and design tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and mapping tools (Google Earth or similar).
Class 5 Alberta driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
Experience with AC stray current mitigation is an asset.
Education & Certifications:
Engineering degree or technical diploma.
5–10 years of corrosion, CP, or stray current mitigation experience (CP-focused).
AMPP (NACE) CP3 required (CP4, Cathodic Protection Specialist - An asset).
P.Eng. registered with APEGA or another Canadian provincial regulator.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position available immediately.
