Job Summary
Equans is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead end‑to‑end P3 and complex infrastructure bids. You will interpret detailed client requirements, shape winning strategies, and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver compliant, competitive, and high‑quality submissions. This role oversees all aspects of bid planning, content development, risk management, and partner engagement—ensuring proposals reflect EQUANS' strengths and stand out in the market. Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end bid process for P3 and complex infrastructure projects, ensuring exceptional attention to detail, robust risk identification and mitigation, and effective resolution of multi‑layered technical and commercial challenges;
Interpret diverse and detailed client requirements and develop competitive, compliant, and strategically differentiated bid strategies in collaboration with technical, commercial, financial, and operational teams;
Coordinate and manage all bid planning activities, including structured kick‑off meetings, detailed bid schedules, partner engagement, and resource allocation for large, multi‑disciplinary pursuits;
Oversee the development of complex bid content, ensuring alignment with P3 frameworks, client expectations, contractual requirements, and EQUANS' capabilities;
Write, edit, and review highly technical and non‑technical content, maintaining clarity, consistency, accuracy, and persuasive impact;
Develop compelling executive summaries, value‑for‑money narratives, and project differentiators tailored to P3 and complex infrastructure procurement processes;
Ensure all bid documentation adheres to compliance requirements, evaluation criteria, brand guidelines, and quality standards across multiple volumes;
Conduct structured post‑bid reviews, integrate lessons learned, and continuously refine bid processes, tools, and methodologies;
Maintain a comprehensive library of P3‑specific materials, including templates, case studies, technical narratives, methodologies, and reusable content;
Collaborate closely with business development, legal, finance, asset management, engineering, and operations teams, as well as consortium partners when applicable, to gather inputs, secure approvals, and ensure bid integrity;
Monitor industry trends, procurement changes, and competitor positioning to inform bid strategy and strengthen EQUANS' market competitiveness.
Requirements / Qualifications
Authorized to work in Canada;
Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings;
Training or practical experience in proposal writing, complex procurement, or P3‑related processes;
5+ years of proven experience managing complex bids, including P3, design‑build, DBF/DBFM, or large‑scale infrastructure projects;
Experience in facility management, infrastructure, or engineering environments;
Ability to understand and interpret technical writing, drawings, schedules, and performance‑based requirements;
Excellent writing, editing, formatting, and proofreading skills, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and high‑quality deliverables.
Skills
Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field;
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bid management;
Familiarity with various contract types and delivery models (e.g., Design-Build, P3);
Strong understanding of procurement processes, especially in construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors;
Proven ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines;
Strong problem‑solving abilities, with experience navigating multi‑layered technical and commercial challenges;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail;
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
Ability to analyze RFPs and develop compliant, persuasive responses;
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across geographies and disciplines;
Experience with CRM and bid management tools is preferred.
