About This Opportunity
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Systems Manager oversees and optimizes:
The management of systems and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and environmental compliance,
The development of operations data analysis systems to support data-driven decision-making and improve operational performance.
The Systems Manager supports operational excellence initiatives aimed at elevating standards to a world-class level, including the delivery of learning and development opportunities across the facility.
The Data Analyst and Compliance Specialist report directly to the Systems Manager.
Responsibilities
Manage compliance with regulatory requirements for quality, health, safety and the environment
Ensure that local programs meet necessary standards (ISO, Customers, legal requirements etc) and that these programs are continually improved at the plant.
Lead the continuous improvement of site management systems by regularly coordinating internal and external audit
Responsible for the sustainability initiatives
Ensure that ongoing training and development is aligned with the plant's people's strategy and that it is implemented vs operational needs
Responsible for risk assessments, incident management and management of change.
Responsible for analyzing & maintaining data on plant losses and quantifying the savings that could result from improvement projects
Manage PI projects (Project Initiatives) and track data related to these projects
Provide daily, weekly and monthly KPI trackers to the operational team to guide them in the top detractor's analysis to establish strategies that will eliminate wasted time and material loss, as well as lower production costs per case using systems and tools that promote operational excellence
Generate tracker files and tools to support operational teams
Support the Plant Manager for miscellaneous plant presentations and reviews
Act as a liaison with local and corporate operational excellence resources to ensure the site always follows established standards for implementing operational excellence initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in administration or in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
Strong computer skills (macros, excel, power point, etc)
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
3+ years of managerial experience, proven leadership skills in a teamwork environment.
Bilingual in French and English
