Role Description
As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, modification, and maintenance of critical plant equipment and facilities. This role ensures compliance with all Plant Safety and Product Safety Programs and proactively supports continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Execute advanced troubleshooting to diagnose and repair equipment irregularities and malfunctions.
Install, assemble, and maintain complex machinery and mechanical systems.
Repair or replace defective parts and components efficiently.
Perform comprehensive routine and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
Adhere strictly to company policies including Health & Safety, GMP, and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
Education:
Diploma, trade certification, or advanced training in Maintenance, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Trade Certification: Valid Millwright license required. Industrial Electrician license is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of maintenance, packaging, and processing experience in a food manufacturing environment. Knowledge of MSOffice applications.
Working Conditions
· Standing and walking about a factory production floor
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
· Lift, pull, reach, transport and handle equipment and parts
· Exposure to odours and hot/cold and wet environments
· Availability to work various shifts and overtime as operational depands require
Salary
$40-$45 Depends on Experience
