About the Company:
Voyzant Inc is a fast-growing travel technology company headquartered in Markham, Ontario, with a global development center serving clients and partners worldwide. Our platform powers B2B travel solutions — including flight search, booking APIs, and real-time inventory integrations — built to handle enterprise-scale transaction volumes. We are an ambitious team building next-generation infrastructure and are looking for problem solvers who want to grow alongside us.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Software Developer with a passion for quality, reliability, and continuous improvement to join our team as Lead QA. This is not a traditional QA-only role — you will be writing code, building test automation frameworks, and working closely with developers, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure teams. You will own quality end-to-end across our platform while actively contributing to engineering efforts.
Prior formal QA experience is an asset but is not required. What matters most is your technical ability, problem-solving mindset, and genuine interest in building reliable, scalable systems. You will have the opportunity to grow into Cloud Computing, DevOps, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code practices as part of your day-to-day work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead quality assurance efforts across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements review to production deployment.
Design, build, and maintain automated test suites covering API, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Collaborate directly with developers to identify defects early, review code for testability, and enforce quality standards.
Define and document QA processes, testing strategies, and acceptance criteria in partnership with the engineering team.
Perform hands-on exploratory and scripted testing of new features, API integrations (including third-party travel APIs such as Amadeus), and backend services.
Monitor system performance, analyze test results, and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Participate in the design and review of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes-based deployment workflows.
Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and support the team's disaster recovery and platform independence strategy.
Actively learn and grow into DevOps, cloud computing, and platform engineering responsibilities over time.
Champion a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Solid programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
Ability to read, write, and debug code confidently — this is a hands-on technical role.
Familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and experience testing API-driven systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document and present findings.
Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Experience in Python FastAPI, LanGraph, Pydantic, MCP Server
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a QA, SDET, or test automation role.
Exposure to test frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Pytest, or JUnit.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) or orchestration (Kubernetes).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Background or interest in the travel, tourism, or hospitality technology sector.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint-based delivery
