We are looking for a mid-level Data Scientist to design and develop an AI-powered chatbot for a cabin rental complex (hospitality industry).
The main goal of this project is to automate customer inquiries, improve response times, and increase direct bookings through an intelligent conversational system.
This is not a basic chatbot project. We are looking for someone who understands LLM-based systems, conversational design, and scalable architecture.
Objectives
Automate frequently asked questions (availability, pricing, services, policies, location, etc.)
Assist users in checking availability and guiding them through the booking process
Provide multilingual support (Spanish required, English preferred)
Deliver natural, context-aware responses (not scripted flows)
Scope of Work
Design and implement an AI chatbot using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI API or similar)
Implement a RAG-based architecture (if necessary) to retrieve structured information
Integrate with booking system or internal database (API integration)
Deploy chatbot on website (with potential expansion to WhatsApp)
Ensure proper logging, monitoring, and error handling
Optimize prompts and response quality
Required Experience
Proven experience building AI-powered chatbots (not rule-based only)
Strong Python skills
Experience with LLM APIs and embeddings
Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, etc.)
Experience with API integrations
Experience deploying applications (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Understanding of conversational UX design
Project Type
One-time project with potential for long-term collaboration depending on results.
