The ideal candidate will have a robust educational background and significant professional experience in robotics, machine learning, and real-time operating systems. You will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including but not limited to designing, coding, and thoroughly testing sophisticated software solutions that facilitate autonomous navigation and control in complex environments. Your role will require you to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of AI algorithms with the physical systems.
In addition to your technical skills, we are particularly interested in candidates who have hands-on experience with sensor integration, including LiDAR, cameras, and other sensor technologies, as well as a proven ability to optimize systems for performance and efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the capabilities of our autonomous solutions, ensuring that they operate reliably and effectively in diverse scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement embedded AI software and firmware for autonomous vehicles and boats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and integration strategies.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of software to ensure safety and reliability.
- Optimize algorithms and system performance through continuous analysis and refinement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in AI, robotics, and autonomous technology.
- Document design processes, software architectures, and system configurations for internal use and compliance.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in embedded systems development, ideally in the context of robotics or autonomous vehicles.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their application in embedded environments.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms, particularly as they relate to perception, decision-making, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
