You edit for creators who value calm, clean, and understated. You understand that good editing serves the thinking on screen — it doesn't compete with it.
What you'll be doing
Editing talking-head and screen-share videos from raw footage. Long-form (15–20 min) with occasional short-form cuts. Light trimming, clean cuts, basic color grade, captions, and simple thumbnails. No motion graphics. No hype edits.
What good looks like
You watch the raw footage, understand the point being made, and cut everything that doesn't serve it. You preserve the speaker's pacing. You don't add energy that isn't there.
Required
Proficiency in Descript, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. 24–48 hour turnaround. Strong spoken-word editing instincts. Portfolio showing talking-head or documentary-style work.
Not a fit if
You specialize in fast cuts, music-driven edits, or social media hype content.
