Über
We need a confident, high-speed developer to join our team. (Note: this will be a full time position and the work must be done by the one applying to the position, not someone at their agency. Our interview process involves a live coding session where the applicant must be able to share their screens and code a simple custom Shopify section using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript).
This role is primarily dedicated to expert-level theme and section development rather than backend app development. We need someone who is exceptionally fast and confident in the Liquid/Theme layer.
Responsibilities:
Create pixel-perfect websites from Figma designs to Shopify using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Create sections with custom code on the Shopify Dawn theme
Use VS Code and Shopify CLI for development
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve reliability and performance.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
Ability to learn quickly and adhere to company standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork abilities.
Strong communication skills.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development.
Minimum of 7 years of experience with Git and independently resolving complex merge conflicts.
Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically coding Shopify Liquid.
Evidence that Shopify is your primary focus, with specific experience in Shopify Plus environments.
Minimum of 3+ year of experience with Shopify CLI.
Advanced experience creating and retrieving data using metafields and metaobjects.
Beneficial Experience/Skills:
Prior experience in high-growth startup environments is a significant advantage.
Experience with React, Tailwind, and modern browser specifications like web components.
Experience with GraphQL.
Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
Languages: English. You are expected to have a fluent level of English.
Mandatory skills: Shopify, Web Development, CSS, HTML, Web Design
