ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team at Mandurah . You will be the welcoming face and voice of Apex Radiology — supporting patients, referrers, and our clinical teams with high-quality service and efficiency.
This is a Part time role working 32 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and manage front-desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner
- Answer telephone enquiries and respond efficiently and sensitively to patient needs
- Schedule patient appointments and determine examination requirements
- Communicate preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients
- Register patients, manage paperwork, and handle billing and EFTPOS transactions
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of reports
- Perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching
- Support other administrative tasks as directed by management
ABOUT YOU
- Familiarity with patient booking and entry systems preferred but not required (RIS experience highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology would be preferable but not required
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Accuracy in data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office and practice software
- Cash handling and EFTPOS experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to work across multiple sites if required
