With a bold mission to double revenue year-over-year and expand our global reach, We're bringing our finance function in-house for the first time and are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to own day-to-day accounting, strengthen financial operations, and partner closely with leadership.

The Finance Manager will own the full accounting cycle and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business in accordance with GAAP. This role will serve as the internal finance lead, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely insights for decision-making.
You'll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams while managing external partners such as tax advisors, auditors, and financial service providers.
In this Vancouver, BC-based role, you'll balance your time between working from home and visiting our warehouse in East Vancouver, with occasional in-person team meetings.
What You'll Do
Accounting & Financial Operations
Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close.
Prepare accurate monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
Ensure revenue recognition, deferred revenue, amortization, prepaids, and fixed assets are properly accounted for under GAAP.
Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial adjustments.
Maintain clean, well-documented financial records.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department leads.
Maintain rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly performance reports and track KPIs.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Cash Flow, AP & AR
Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital.
Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment application, and weekly AR reporting.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant service accounts.
Tax, Compliance & Controls
Manage sales tax filings and compliance (GST, PST, and international jurisdictions as applicable).
Act as primary point of contact for tax authorities.
Coordinate with external accountants for corporate tax filings and audits.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Systems & Process Improvement
Own and optimize financial systems and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Dext, Plooto).
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Document finance processes and support best practices across the organization.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
4–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
Experience owning the full accounting cycle in a for-profit environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience in CPG, e-commerce, inventory-based apparel, or consumer brands is a strong asset.
CPA or progress toward CPA is an asset but not required.
