Über
We are expanding our in-house BIM capabilities and are looking for a skilled BIM Technician with a civil, structural, or architectural background to support project coordination, constructability, and field execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and update BIM models for:
Structural concrete elements (slabs, walls, columns, cores, foundations)
Formwork systems (PERI, Doka, traditional forming, shoring, reshoring)
Reinforcement layouts (rebar modeling and coordination)
Prepare shop drawings, lift drawings, pour sequencing, and installation details
Coordinate BIM models with:
Structural engineers
Architects
Project Manager / Client
Site teams
Perform clash detection and constructability reviews
Extract quantities for concrete, formwork, and rebar
Support site teams with 4D sequencing, RFIs, and revisions
Maintain model accuracy through design changes and site conditions
Assist with BIM execution plans and project standards
Required Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field
2–5+ years experience as a BIM Technician / Modeler (construction-focused)
Strong experience with:
Revit (mandatory)
Navisworks (clash detection)
AutoCAD
Solid understanding of:
Structural concrete construction
Formwork systems
Rebar detailing and placement
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
Experience on high-rise or mid-rise concrete projects preferred
Strong communication and coordination skills
Nice to Have (Assets)
Experience working for forming or concrete contractors
Knowledge of CSA standards and Canadian construction practices
Experience with:
Tekla Structures
BIM 360 / ACC
4D sequencing
Field experience or strong site coordination exposure
