Description
Located out of our Calgary office, the individual in the FP&A Summer Student (Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst) will report to the Senior Manager, Forecasting, Planning & Analysis. The successful candidate will support Inter Pipeline's Forecasting, Planning & Analysis department.
Key Activities And Responsibilities
Prepare financial analysis, management reporting and communication materials for senior management
Support and co-ordinate budgeting process and financial planning including preparation of consolidated financial statements
Support business delivery on key strategic financial initiatives and new opportunities
Possess a flavor for understanding of accounting policies and controls
Assist with analytical support in various areas of the company
Education, Skills And Experience
Enrolled in a university program, ideally with a focus in finance, economics or accounting
Ideally 3rd or 4th year university student
Good Microsoft Excel skills with exposure to financial and data modeling
Comfortable presenting, and communicating with internal stakeholders
Organized and ability to co-ordinate across diverse business units
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, growth environment
Keen interest in understanding the key business drivers of different businesses within IPL
Hours
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
4 month term - May to August 2026
As this position is identified as security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.
