What You'll Do
(The following is just one example)
You'll take a founder's one-line idea and build it into a comprehensive, coherent strategic plan — sometimes 40-50 pages — where every section ties back to a unified business thesis.
Specifically:
- Business Model Development: Analyze rough concepts, pressure-test assumptions, and finalize a complete Business Model Canvas (value proposition, revenue model, channels, cost structure, key partnerships — the works).
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct deep-dive research into industries, target markets, competitive landscapes, and customer segments. Source real data — no fluff.
- Positioning, Messaging & Angle: Craft compelling brand positioning, define the business's unique angle, and develop messaging that resonates with both investors and customers.
- Full Strategy Buildout: From the canvas, develop all downstream strategies — marketing strategy, operations plan, hiring roadmap, pricing model, sales approach — ensuring everything flows logically from the core business model.
- Ongoing Strategy Sessions: Provide recurring advisory support to clients — pricing decisions, action planning, pivots, growth strategy, and general "what do we do next?" guidance.
- Document Support: Contribute to the creation of business plans, pitch decks, one-pagers, and other investor/marketing collateral as needed.

1) Deep business acumen. You understand how businesses actually work. You can look at any industry and quickly identify
the levers that matter.
2) Research-driven thinking. You know how to find real market data and translate it into strategic insights.
3) Idea-to-document coherence. This is the big one. When you build a marketing strategy, it should clearly trace back to the positioning. When you build an ops plan, it should clearly tie to the revenue model. Nothing exists in a silo.
4) Strong business writing. You can articulate complex strategies in clear, professional language that a founder can defend in front of investors.
5) Familiarity with startup/SMB ecosystems. You've worked with early-stage companies or founders and understand the constraints they operate under.
Bonus Points
- Experience building investor-ready documents (pitch decks, business plans, financial projections)
- Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or venture advisory
- Exposure to multiple industries (we work across sectors)
- Comfortable working across time zones
Engagement Structure
Project-based (1-2 client engagements to assess fit)
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
