Reporting to the Land Shared Services Manager, you will be involved in day-to-day operations in addition to leading long-term projects within the land department. 

  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts

Key Accountabilities:

  • Safeguards the integrity, accuracy, and governance of all corporate land data, ensuring compliance across systems and maintaining rigorous controls over system access and security
  • Leads end‑to‑end planning, coordination, and execution of major land system conversion initiatives, including surface, mineral, and well data migrations, while driving continuous improvements across processes and technology
  • Oversees all acquisition and divestiture (A&D) data integration activities, ensuring seamless conversion, alignment, and integration of land files and datasets into corporate environments
  • Manages corporate vendor relationships, upholding service quality, contractual compliance, and alignment with organizational governance standards
  • Ensures the timely, accurate, and reliable management of surface and mineral rental obligations, supporting regulatory compliance and financial precision
  • Delivers high‑quality corporate reporting, including acreage, land, and well information, and supports data flow and integration between land systems and broader corporate platforms

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 10+ years of experience in mineral land, including 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role 
  • Degree in Business; Mineral land administration certificate or similar credentials is an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mineral land including lease and contracts administration is essential; additionally, joint ventures and surface land experience is considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of land and mapping systems, mineral and surface land rentals, road use invoicing, Crown land sales, acreage reporting (IFRS & AIF), well administration (ownership/linkage/spacing/ARO) and an in-depth understanding of acquisition and divestiture processes is essential 
  • Proven experience in vendor management, UAT, change management, and cross‑functional project work (incl. middleware tool selection and integrations)
  • Comfort with data validation and reconciliations; proficiency in Excel/BI; GIS/mapping exposure is an asset
  • Excellent communication, organization, and successful management of multiple priorities is essential
