The individual will manage and oversee a wide range of projects including, but not limited to, operations, process and efficiencies, site renovations/relocations, onboarding support, marketing, Technology solutions, compliance, data analytics, revenue pilots, and special projects as assigned by senior leadership using a variety of project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall. The Senior Manager, PMO is accountable for creating and maintaining project management artifacts, documentation, templates, and tools in an organized repository and system.
Using strong project management skills and eye for business, the Senior Manager, PMO will coordinate with cross functional teams across the BU and the larger enterprise in support of the organization's strategic goals. The successful candidate should have extensive experience managing and launching large-scale projects with high complexity, and be comfortable with people management, partner engagement and management, case analysis, business process documentation, requirements gathering, and project management.
What you'll do:
Responsible for all phases of the project management life cycle from project initiation to closure
Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to a team of Project Managers within MediSystem's PMO, ensuring support of organizational goals and objectives
Leads and oversees the development of brainstorming and opportunity capture; ensures this occurs for each PM and client group and ensures work taking place happens in a timely manner; assists different areas of the business in running brainstorming sessions to drive project funnels and initiatives for the upcoming year
Supports and oversees regional and national process improvement initiatives with various departments/sites (ie. assess gaps/opportunities within specific operations function at the sites and provides recommendations to close gaps; ensures this occurs for each PM and client group)
Supports and oversees implementation of regional and national standard operating procedures ensuring consistency in standard methodologies nationally
Manage end-to-end implementation projects on-time and within budget
Supports in the development of all project management related materials, including project plan, work breakdown structures, breakthrough maps, status reports, etc.
Identify project dependencies; work with all business and technology partners to identify dependencies and communicate the impacts if delivery dates are missed
Proactively identify project issues and risks; work with business leaders to drive to resolution
Lead initiatives to review and improve operational efficiencies
Identify scope changes and manage change request process for approval
Conduct weekly meetings with internal and external project teams,
Serve as the key liaison for the business and proactively clarify and prioritize business ideas, needs, and problems that require technology enablement
Define detailed business requirements by gathering input from corporate and site level resources and other internal partners as required
Provide leadership and direction in the development of project performance tracking and reporting to internal and external partners
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
Continuously evaluate and assess each project breakthrough closely to identify lessons learned and standard processes for implementation in future phases
Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging
What you bring:
Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field
PMP Certification required; additional Agile certification highly desirable
7-10 plus years of progressive leadership experience, Project Management experience, demonstrated expertise and tact in the area of client relation management including senior level communication, internal and external partner management, large scale teams/projects and budgets
Extensive experience with project management tools (preferably MS Project)
Strong computer skills with high proficiency in MS applications (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI, Teams, etc.)
Strong interpersonal and tactful presentation skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization to influence change without direct reporting authority
Effective and mature communicator, as well as receptive listening skills, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing to various audiences
Strong facilitation skills to lead large groups through complex processes
Ability to take initiative in a fast-paced and changing environment, manage through ambiguity and be adaptable in setting and prioritizing work
Understanding of pharmaceutical/health care industry a strong asset
Proven ability to use lean Six Sigma methodology
French/English Bilingualism an asset
