What will you work on?
The senior accountant will be a key player in the financial closing of the North American and Digital Games entities at Spin Master. This hands-on role will support the month end close, P&L analysis, and reporting of the results.
How will you create impact?

Full cycle month end closing duties including but not limited to:

• Weekly/monthly clearing of banking transactions to the appropriate g/l
• Record payroll journal entries, including liaising with the Payroll team on various types of transactions
• Business partnering with various teams in Finance (including Treasury, A/R, A/P, Entertainment Finance, Digital Games Finance, etc.)
• Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain fixed assets registers including the computation of monthly depreciation charges
• Prepare month-end journal entries and account analysis
• Prepare various month-end schedules, analysis and ad hoc reports as required to support month-end and quarter-end reporting
• Proactively review current processes and seek ways to improve them through implementation of new tools or processes
• Support all projects under the Company's digital transformation initiatives impacting external financial reporting and disclosure processes and controls
• Support the internal and external audit processes including directly managing the relationship with the external audit team

What are your skills and experience?

• Experience with SAP is a must
• Pursuing a CPA designation

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $80,000 to $85,000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
