About the Role
London Bridge Child Care Services Inc. is looking for someone to join the team that would be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, including upkeep of buildings, completing minor repairs, proactive maintenance, and completion of small projects across the organization. This position is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem solving, is organized, considers safety in their daily work, and is comfortable around young children ages 0-12 years old. This role involves both indoor and outdoor work at multiple locations, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional use of ladders.

providing and promoting childcare and education. Our Facilities goal is to provide staff and children with a consistent, properly maintained space for creating experiences and learning together in our classrooms and outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete minor repairs and general building maintenance across multiple sites (e.g., repair troubleshooting,
hardware replacement, patching/drywall repair, touch-ups, hanging shelves/bulletin boards, door hardware
adjustments) - Perform minor plumbing and minor electrical tasks within your skill set and in accordance with organizational
guidelines; escalate to qualified/licensed contractors as required - Support basic preventative maintenance (including filter changes and appliance inspections) and help build upon our preventative maintenance schedule.
- Support site walkthroughs, on-site meetings, and communication with centre teams.
- Move tools, materials, equipment, and furniture to support operations and small projects
- Support landscaping and outdoor maintenance/cleanup as needed (seasonal)
- Use the existing ticketing system to receive, document, and close work requests
- Work with the Facilities Manager to identify location needs, contribute to a system for tracking site condition, and support future budget/project planning
About You
You're a reliable, hands-on problem solver with a passion for maintaining environments and equipment. You thrive both independently and as part of a team and have strong time management, communication, and planning skills. You have strong problem solving skills and a want to learn more.
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years hands on experience in a position of similar nature
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work on ladders
Qualifications
- Post Secondary Education Diploma or equivalent in Building Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance Technician,
Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Techniques, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), Plumbing
Fundamentals or Carpentry - Recent Vulnerable Sectors Check (within 6 months)
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification
- A valid driver's license and daily access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage
