Position Description
Manager is responsible for representing Milwaukee Tool interests, ensuring expected levels of Quality are maintained internally in a 3PL environment as well as external customer satisfaction is satisfied in line with Milwaukee Tool goals. This position will assist and organize possible Milwaukee Tool rework or repairs executed locally.
What You Will Do
Educate and train others on quality principles. Provide guidance and assistance to the 3PL team, staff brought in to support activities as well as MET employees.
Requires demonstrated technical leadership ability in working with engineers, departments, vendors, distributors/end users, sister companies, various private and governmental agencies.
Plan objectives and activities towards achieving the results documented in the Company's vision, mission goals, objectives and contracts while coordinating with the 3PL leadership.
Demonstrate Milwaukee's Culture Expectations – Never Settle Always Improving, Speed Agility Urgency, Candid, Obsessed, Empowered Leaders, One Team Mentality
Assist with the development and revision of Quality Policies, Quality Procedures, Quality System Instructions, Engineering Standards and Work Instructions that govern the operations of Quality related activities, reworks or repair activities.
Coordinate and lead Milwaukee Tool resources or external staffing to complete AQL reviews, shipping samples, sorting, reworks or repairs that are outside of the 3PL scope.
Coordinate with onsite 3PL leadership establishing a solid working partnership and regular performance reviews.
Monitor site metrics and KPI's engaging with the local team to address any areas on under performance.
Perform reviews of the Quality system and effectiveness of corrective actions (SCAR's)
Coordinate systemic Quality holds and physical quarantine in MRB area as needed.
Consult with managers and department heads on how and where to focus improvement efforts and aid in obtaining the resources and/or training required.
Follow and participate in all safety procedures / initiatives
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
5 years of experience or equivalent education in the specific area
Prior Quality experience in a DC environment
Strong Communications skills
Solid knowledge of statistics
Strong problem-solving skills
Working knowledge to include: 8D, CAPA, A3, Fishbone, 5 why, process controls
Six Sigma
Understanding ISO Quality Management Systems standard
Strong project management experience using a variety of quality tools
