As a senior member of the Claims leadership team, the AVP, Claims provides expert review of claims adjudication practices across Life, CI, DI, LTD, and Accidental Death lines of business. This role works closely with the VP, Claims & Operations, clients, and cross‑functional internal partners to strengthen claims practices, promote consistent approaches, and drive continuous improvement.

The AVP leads and executes claims audits, negotiates sensitive and complex client matters, and acts as a trusted advisor on claim strategy, contestability, rescission, litigation trends, and policy interpretation. This position requires a high degree of influence, strategic insight, and the ability to communicate persuasively with senior stakeholders.

In addition, the role develops, delivers, and quality‑reviews training content, leads and actively participates in workshops (virtual and in‑person), and represents the organization at industry events and committees, promoting its expertise and reinforcing its market leadership.
