Summer Student

Weyerhaeuser is pleased to offer a variety of Summer Student opportunities at our Kenora operation for the 2026 summer season. Positions are available in Production, Maintenance Support (Fire Watch), and Business Services.

Position Details:

Production Summer Students 
Students working in the Production department will support mill operations by performing clean‑up duties and providing general assistance throughout the facility. Schedule: 12‑hour rotating shift schedule

Maintenance Support (Fire Watch) Summer Students:
Students supporting the Maintenance department will primarily act as a Fire Watch during pond work and other maintenance activities, along with additional tasks as assigned. Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Business Services Summer Students:
Students in Business Services will provide administrative support to departments such as Human Resources, Finance, Health & Safety, and Materials Management. Schedule: 8.5‑hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Compensation and Term:

Hourly Rate: $25.00 per hour

Start Date: May 2026

End Date: Up to and including the week of August 30, 2026

Positions may be extended based on mutual business need and student availability

Eligibility and Application Priority: These opportunities will be offered first to associates' family members. We also welcome recommendations from existing associates.

• 18 years of age or older
• Successful completion of Grade 12 or GED equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• The ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
• Able and willing to work the following work schedules:  12-hour rotation shift schedule and/or 8 ½ -hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• Available for the entire contract
• Enrolled in relevant post-secondary education. (Evidence of enrollment in a post-secondary program must be provided)
