Your Opportunity at SECURE

As our Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and executing customer-focused production chemical solutions that are technically sound and commercially competitive.

This role will lead the strategic expansion of SECURE's Production Chemicals presence across Southeast Saskatchewan and Manitoba, a priority growth region for the organization.

The successful candidate will build market presence from the ground up, developing new customer relationships, increasing regional brand recognition, and capturing untapped market opportunities to position SECURE as a leading production chemical partner in the region.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, proactive self-starter who combines strong technical knowledge with sharp business acumen. They are skilled at prospecting, consultative selling, and translating customer needs into value-driven solutions.

This position offers a significant opportunity to build, shape, and scale a high-growth territory while directly influencing SECURE's regional Market Share and long-term success.

The Team

At SECURE, you will be part of a collaborative, performance-driven team within our Specialty Chemicals and Production Services business line, where sales, technical, and operations professionals work together to deliver integrated, customer-focused solutions. Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic, field-based environment, working directly alongside customers in oilfield operations across Southeast Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Supported by SECURE's technical expertise and operational infrastructure, you will have the autonomy to build and scale a high-growth territory while upholding our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and delivering measurable value to our customers.

A Day in The Life
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of SECURE's production chemical products, services, oilfield operations, and industry best practices to deliver technical product and application recommendations that drive cost-effective, customer-focused solutions
  • Provide hands-on customer support to implement, manage, and optimize production chemical programs, including oversight of product application and performance monitoring
  • Continuously evaluate service levels and program effectiveness to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and measurable operational results
  • Drive revenue growth through proactive direct sales activities, including prospecting, cold calling, account penetration, and closing new production chemical opportunities
  • Personally meet with existing and prospective customers to execute consultative sales strategies and build, foster, and maintain strong long-term client relationships through consistent engagement and follow-up
  • Develop and execute targeted programs to identify and secure new accounts within Southeast Saskatchewan, expanding SECURE's Production Chemicals market presence
  • Proactively assess current and future customer needs, market conditions, and competitive activity to position SECURE as a trusted technical and commercial partner
  • Continuously expand technical, operational, and commercial expertise, including product testing procedures and field application knowledge, to enhance solutions delivery and sales effectiveness
  • Provide regular, detailed updates to sales, operations, and technical teams regarding customer activity, market intelligence, and future business plans to support coordinated growth strategies
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in the Production Chemicals industry, with a demonstrated track record of success in technical sales, business development, and strategic account growth
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, providing a strong foundation in both commercial strategy and technical application
  • Comprehensive knowledge of oilfield operations, production systems, and chemical program design, including product testing, implementation, and performance optimization
  • Proven ability to analyze customer operations, identify value-driven solutions, and negotiate profitable, long-term agreements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation, proposals, and commercial reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for reporting, analysis and customer presentations
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across sales, operations and technical teams
  • Results-oriented, confident, and highly driven, with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer sites as required, and a demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health and Safety standards
