*Junior Oracle Database Administrator*
Are you passionate about databases and eager to launch your career in database administration? We're looking for a motivated junior DBA to join our team and grow alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic, enterprise environment.
*What You'll Be Doing*
In this role, you'll get hands-on experience with the full lifecycle of database management. Day-to-day, you'll help monitor database performance and flag issues for investigation, assist with troubleshooting database problems, support regular maintenance tasks like patching and backups, and help set up and maintain databases across different stages of development. You'll also contribute to security administration and help the team plan for storage and capacity needs — with guidance every step of the way.
*What We're Looking For*
We welcome candidates with 1–2 years of experience or relevant academic/project experience in database administration. Exposure to Oracle databases (versions 11g or 19c) is a plus, even if it's from coursework, internships, or personal projects.
Some familiarity with the following is helpful but not required for all:
* Oracle database environments and basic SQL or PL/SQL
* UNIX/Linux command line basics
* Concepts around backup, recovery, and data protection
* Any exposure to tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, RAC, ASM, or Data Guard is a bonus
*Soft Skills That Will Help You Thrive*
We care just as much about how you work as what you know. Strong written and verbal communication goes a long way here, since you'll be producing documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Being a self-starter who can pick up new tools and concepts independently is something we genuinely value on this team.
*What You'll Learn On the Job*
You'll be mentored by senior DBAs and gain real-world exposure to enterprise-scale systems — including how to implement backups using RMAN, support disaster recovery testing with DataGuard, apply patches and upgrades, and perform performance tuning. Over time, you'll take on more ownership of production support, on-call rotations, and incident management.
*A Note on Availability*
Like most DBA roles, this position occasionally requires support outside of normal business hours during maintenance windows or emergencies. We do our best to plan ahead and share the load across the team.
If you're hungry to learn and ready to roll up your sleeves in a high-impact environment, we'd love to hear from you.
