Nursery Chef

Rosewood Montessori Day Nursery & Pre-School is excited to announce an opening for a Nursery Chef with a competitive salary of £30,000 per annum . This is a full-time position, offering 40 hours per week , Monday to Friday, all year round.

Located on a peaceful residential street between Ruislip Manor and Eastcote Train Stations, our nursery is easily accessible with convenient on-street parking. We pride ourselves on providing a warm, homely environment within a spacious house, enriched by a variety of extracurricular activities.

From Superstar Sports that promote physical development to Tiny Mites Storytelling that fosters creativity, our expansive outdoor area features a dedicated forest school where children can explore nature through activities like den building and mud cooking.

As our Nursery Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious, age-appropriate meals while ensuring a clean and welcoming kitchen environment. You will collaborate closely with our nursery team and parents to enhance the overall care and educational experience for our children.

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to children's dietary needs.
• Communicate effectively with staff regarding daily meal requirements.
• Ensure all dietary requirements are met and clearly communicated.
• Work in partnership with the nursery team and parents to promote healthy eating.
• Manage food orders within budgetary constraints.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Strong knowledge of managing dietary requirements and food allergies.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations.
• Experience working within a catering budget.
• Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings.
• Fluency in written and spoken English (GCSE grade C or equivalent).
• A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
