Recovery Advocate

This role is designed to complement clinical care with a unique blend of insight and empathy. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will build trusted relationships with peers in recovery by meeting them where they are – whether that's at home, in clinics or community locations.

You'll provide consistent emotional support during sessions while helping peers feel heard, respected and empowered. Your goal will be to facilitate peer-led groups creating safe spaces for growth and connection.

• You approach each interaction as an opportunity to instill hope and normalize recovery.


• Ensure peer voices are represented in care planning by collaborating with clinicians and interdisciplinary team members.


• You recognize when services may no longer benefit the individual supporting respectful transitions when needed.
