Treatment is looking for a talented and dedicated individual who can excel in a high-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or data science and be capable of taking on a variety of projects. This role requires a diverse skill set, adaptability, and a commitment to quality. The individual selected will work with Treatment’s technology development lead to maintain, service, and improve the suite of software and back end capabilities.
*Key Responsibilities*
● *Web Development:* Create and maintain front-end and back-end components of our web applications.
● *Natural Language Processing:* Work on training and fine-tuning natural language models to improve our services.
● *Performance Optimization:* Enhance the overall performance and accuracy of our existing services. This may include working on random forest models, neural networks, ensemble methods, and information theory.
● *Database Administration:* Create, manage, and optimize databases to support various services.
● *System Administration:* Responsible for cloud and local system management, ensuring high uptime, security, and performance.
● *Web Service Administration:* Manage and optimize various web services.
● *Server Stress Testing:* Conduct load and stress testing to ensure robustness and forecast server costs.
● *Vulnerability Analysis:* Perform security assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities.
● *Quality Assurance:* Perform QA for other technical staff members, ensuring adherence to coding standards and quality of customer-facing documentation. All technical staff are expected to participate in QA.
● *Customer Support:* Technical staff are generally expected to be able to interact and support customers. Part of this support will be for internal clinical team members involved with data creation in our global library of medicine.
*Requirements*
● *Education:* Required: BA/BS candidates with sufficient work experience or exceptional performance. Preferred: Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science or Data Science in progress or completed.
● *Learning Aptitude: *Ability to learn on the job and collaborate effectively with a development team.
*Additional Qualities*
● Candidate should be comfortable working in a high-paced startup environment.
● Flexibility in development skills and a quick ability to learn new technologies.
● Professionalism, sociability, and careful communication skills are highly desired. Individuals with exceptional performance in these areas may be considered for higher stakes customer-facing opportunities alongside their normal responsibilities.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
