We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy San Diego, California warehouse! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our facility. Your role is critical to maintaining the smooth flow of goods in our logistics operations. You will ensure that materials are transported correctly and stored in designated areas, contributing to overall warehouse organization and efficiency. Safety is our utmost priority, and all forklift operators must possess a strong understanding of safety regulations, operate equipment responsibly, and always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a valid forklift certification, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform tasks involving Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform Lifting and maneuvering of heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
