Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, BC (in-office required)
Reports to: Head of Finance & Operations
Hours: 20 to 30 hours per week
Salary Range: 35 to 45 CAD per hour

About the Role

This is a hands-on, growth-oriented HR role supporting MistyWest's core people processes. You will assist in running and maintaining people programs while learning how to scale them in a structured and thoughtful way.

You will support the execution of:

  • Performance review cycles
  • OKR and KPI tracking
  • Compensation benchmarking support
  • Recruiting and hiring coordination
  • Core HR operations and compliance
  • People and culture initiatives

You will work closely with the Head of Finance & Operations and leadership team to ensure processes are organized, documented, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of performance review cycles including scheduling, documentation tracking, and follow-ups
  • Maintain performance documentation and assist in calibration preparation
  • Assist with compensation benchmarking research and salary band updates
  • Support recruiting coordination including job postings, scheduling, candidate communication, and ATS updates
  • Help maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assist with OKR and KPI tracking and documentation
  • Contribute to internal culture initiatives and team events such as retreats, workshops, Lunch and Learns, and celebrations
  • Ensure HR processes are organized, documented, and compliant
Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Talent Acquisition
  • Post-secondary education in HR, Business, or related field
  • Working toward CPHR designation is an asset
  • Experience working in a consulting or technology industry is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating with employees and leadership
  • Interest in learning compensation, performance management, and HR systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting a consultancy, startup, or technical environment
  • Exposure to recruiting coordination or HR administration
  • Experience helping plan team events or internal engagement initiatives
