Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Data & Analytics Lead Developer to join our team for a 24-month fixed-term contract. This role is critical for maintaining our Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform solutions alongside SSRS/SSIS .
The ideal candidate is a "full-stack" Microsoft data expert who is as comfortable writing complex pipelines as they are building intuitive Power BI reports/dashboards and apps in Power Apps or architecting Lakehouses in Fabric.
Your Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data & Analytics, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and evolving the corporation's data architecture and reporting ecosystem. You will serve as the primary developer lead for Microsoft Fabric and Power Platform including SSRS/SSIS.
Key Responsibilities
- Modernization : Lead Design, develop, and deploy data solutions including Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, and OneLake) serve as technical lead for one or more components of the projects.
- Visualization : Create high-impact Power BI dashboards that turn complex datasets into actionable business insights.
- Legacy Maintenance : Manage and optimize existing SSIS packages for ETL and SSRS for paginated reporting.
- Business Automation : Develop low-code solutions using Power Apps to streamline data entry and internal workflows.
- Data Architecture : Ensure data integrity and performance across on-prem and cloud environments. Develop and propose system concepts for review by business partners.
- Documentation : Maintain clear documentation of data lineages and system architectures to ensure a smooth transition at the end of the contract. Verify system performance in accordance with design criteria, ensure the rectification of deficiencies, and provide the necessary documentation for the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
Technical Requirements
- Data Analytics : Expert-level Power BI (DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling).
- Cloud Data : Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse.
- Low-Code : Proven experience building Canvas or Model-driven Power Apps .
- SQL Server Stack : Advanced SSIS (ETL development) and SSRS (Report design).
- Database : Strong T-SQL skills (Stored procedures, indexing, and optimization).
Soft Skills & Qualifications
- Education and Experience : University degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with a minimum 7 years of related experience, including two years in a technical leadership role (e.g., dev lead, tech lead, senior mentor).
- Problem Solver : Ability to look at a manual process and envision a Power Platform/Fabric solution.
- Communication : Ability to translate technical data requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability : Comfortable working in a hybrid environment where legacy and cloud tools coexist.
- Collaborative Spirit : A dedicated team player who enjoys peer-reviewing code, sharing knowledge, and brainstorming solutions with both technical peers and non-technical business stakeholders.
- Mentorship: The Lead Developer will serve as a technical mentor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing high-level guidance to junior and mid-level staff.
