Engineering Intern

Position

The Engineering Intern will support the Engineering team with documentation, reporting, and field data collection activities. This role is intended to provide hands-on exposure to engineering workflows, field operations, and emerging tools used to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Engineering Release Notices (ERNs) under the guidance of engineering staff
• Compile engineering and inspection reports using established department templates
• Perform basic Equipment measurements ("pulling tape") for equipment in the yard
• Upload and organize photos to the designated rig photos drive and shared folders
• Assist in developing or testing AI-based routines or tools to help streamline and improve report writing and documentation processes

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
• Comfortable working with basic documentation tools (Word, Excel, file management systems)
• Interest in automation, AI tools, or process improvement is an asset
